In accordance with different news outlets across the state, a 37-year-old motorist and her 16-year-old daughter from Big Bear City were involved in a fatal accident on Highway 18.

The occurrence took place around 11:30 in the morning when the Kia Sorento the 37-year-old was driving was hit by a trailer that had been separated from the truck that was towing it previously. The empty trailer frame collided against the vehicle leaving the driver and passenger severely injured.

Unfortunately, the driver wasn’t able to survive the serious injuries. The 16-year-old teenager remains in the hospital and her current conditions are still unknown.
